Weddings & Handfasting
Let’s create a beautiful ceremony for you to celebrate your love!

What we co-create together is revealed from imagination & conversation ~ even research ~ so we can weave for you the most relevant, honouring & enriching ceremony.

I love to offer Handfasting; an ancient ceremony which hails back to ancient Celtic times, before church or state, and is the ritual from where the term ‘tie the knot’ came from. It has deep pagan roots, and is a ceremony that has been adapted to fit many faiths and cultures since.

It can be used in place of or alongside a legally binding union, and it adds a depth of beauty visually, emotionally & spiritually to your ceremony.

(It can also be used as a renewal of vows or an engagement/intention ceremony.)

There are many different knots and ways a handfasting can be performed, and ways we can include loved ones in the ceremony too, if you wish.

I am a registered NZ Celebrant so can perform a full legal wedding ceremony alongside a handfasting.

The exchange is $800 which includes the planning and the ceremony (Travel costs may need to be added)

I’m happy to offer a free chat to see if we're the right fit for each other.

“Lynley crafted the most divine, magical, connected and inspiringly beautiful handfasting ceremony I could have ever imagined. She carefully listened and took charge of all the details gracefully and with ease, guiding my ideas into practical, tangible reality; truly honouring our relationship and our children.

Lynley gives a powerful voice to the Sacred, and our special day was no exception… from the devotion & blessings of the Elements and our Ancestors, to the gentle binding and celebration of our love; magic was invoked.

Every detail considered, each word spoken with love and intent, our handfasting ceremony was truly the most soulful experience of my life.

Even now, as I read back through our blessings, all written by Lynley, I am brought to tears & can feel the deep emotion of that day. I’m honoured to share this - and Lynley, from both Shaun & I, thank you thank you thank you.” - Elizabeth
